Microsoft to Alter Flight Sim 2002 [9/14/01 5:58:07 PM ET]
With respect to this week’s terrorist attacks, Microsoft Corp. has indicated that it is making changes to the forthcoming Flight Simulator 2002 products to reflect the changes to the New York City skyline. Matt Pilla, a Microsoft spokesperson, told ieMag.com that the company “wants to do what’s appropriate, and so we’re removing the World Trade Center from the upcoming version.” Flight Simulator 2002 and Flight Simulator 2002 Professional Edition are scheduled to be released next month. Pilla also noted that the publisher hasn’t determined whether it will release a similar patch for previous versions of Flight Simulator, but “it is something that’s being discussed.” ------------------ Ziroc™ Ironworks Webmaster www.tgeweb.com/ironworks http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/hero.gif |
