Just thinking...So much planning went into these attacks...training pilots, buying tickets, making sure flights were chosen that were 'full' of fuel, false passports...everything..!

It has come out that one of the targets was the White House (the plane that hit the Pentagon and the one down in PA)...this is the question...didn't these terrorists know that the President would be in Florida giving a speech?

Just makes you think...if he was a target, then why would they not attack him in Florida?

perhaps their intelligence wasnt as accurate as we think? or perhaps they wanted to take out the staff, leaving just the President with no advisors? (er, i think thats where they are during the day, not sure)

Diplomacy is all and well, but HADB is better!

There was a lot of symbolism about it - destroying capitalism, military might etc. Maybe the idea was another symbol - political power, not actually to kill the president.

I believe that the news said that the reports from Washington implied that Airforce 1 DID have a legitimate threat while in air.

As for the Capitol, I don't think they thought he was there, but what a good way to decrease American moral than to blow up the Capitol?

General Woundwort's body was never found. It could be that he still lives his fierce life somewhere else. But from that day forward, mothers would tell their kittens that if they were not good, the General would get them. Such was Woundwort's monument, and perhaps it would not have displeased him.
