Blizzard Entertainment(http://www.blizzard.com) has announced a new MMORPG based on their everpopular Warcraft series, it looks cool, and if it's anywhere NEAR half as good as any of their other games I'm going to buy it, I almost forgot to tell you what it's called, it's called: World Of Warcraft or WoW for short.

Sounds pretty cool, but I wonder when it'll be finished (especially after all of the setbacks etc. on Warcraft 3) and I wonder how good i'll turn out, (but i'll probably buy it anyway http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif )

Demus, the reason all Blizzard games take so long to make are that they weed out all the bugs first, instead of doing like all of the others who give us buggy games and let us wait for a week before we get a patch.

I know, I know, Ive got Warcraft 1 + 2 + Expansion + Diablo 1, and I've never ever needed a patch for any of them http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif (which is a lot more that I can say for some games http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif ) , and I wasn't putting Blizzard down in any way, so I'm very sorry if it looked that way http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif . Oh and I also know that the main delays with Warcraft 3 weren't bugs, but entire game perspective and idea changes http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif . But I really hope it turns out good in the end 'cos I really want to get it http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif .

Sorry if I sounded a bit grumpy, but I'm just tired of all the people who say that Blizzard is bad because they are so slow making the games, it just bothers me that's all, didn't mean to sound angry or anything.

Blizzard is one of the best there is. I think they take so long because they set very high standards for every game - they cancelled Warcraft Adventures because it didn't meet those standards, I believe. So far, every Blizzard game we've gotten has been great - Warcraft II, Starcraft, Diablo, Diablo II. I prefer waiting a long time for a good game to getting a bad one very quickly.

I much prefer a well thought out, well designed, non-bugged game, anyway, even if it does take longer to finish (Take Black & White for example (I don't know if youve heard of/about it), it got rushed by sales people and had a huge, game ruining bug in it from the start http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif ) .

I own B&W, what is this bug you speak of, I haven't really played it that much, I stopped playing after completing level 2, the controls were just too annoying and you generally lacked control, it was just NOT my kind of game.

Well, I only got to land 4 myself then got bored and stopped playing it, anyway, apparently near the end of land five a bug was encountered which crashed out the game and deleted your creature and save files, and the developers hadn't even noticed it! And its the main reason theres now a very large patch out for it http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

That is one HELL of a mistaker to maker, probably THE worst bug I have EVER heard of.
