All of you laptop owners out there give me a hand. All of my recent laptops aren't holding up so well. I just ruined my 3rd laptop in 3 years. It was a WinBook. In the past I have ruined HP's and Compaqs too. I beat the hell out of it for work and so basically I'm looking for a tank. I need something that will hold up pretty good, because our finance director is starting to give me some dirty looks. One of my engineers just got a Dell and it looks pretty good. Any thoughts?

Not sure about this one, Milamber as I use a desktop but my parents have had a HP Pavillion for two years and love it. They travel with it quite frequently.

I had a Gateway (before the wife took it http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif) and it held up quite well...have been using it for over 4 years with 2 of that our only computer (so lot's of gaming). Now the wife has a new Gateway for work and thinks it is a lot better than the old one (not just in upgrades, but in size, weight, etc.)

I've got to admit it's getting better, it's getting better all the time

Also dont forget the "Lap"-top dances available at most adult clubs, a mere $20-30 and your on your way!

It has been a while since I have checked up on them, but GSCS, formerly GRiD, has some of the most durable laptops on the planet. Browsing their site, I don't get the feeling they are as up-to-date in terms of processing power as those you are already looking into, but they are definitely the way to go for laptops that last.

All 3 computers have been wonderful. Of course mine is a super computer http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif. The support is awesome. They have 24 hour online support where the tech can dial in to your computer and fix it for you instead of walking you through it, or you can call on the phone 24 hours! Gateway is truly my fav. by far! (I have used Packard Bell, Mac, Compaq, HP, and some other Ma & Pa thing all to no avail. Gateway ROCKS!!) </font></h1></TD></table></html>

I have a Dell, its really good. I've also been through quite a few laptops and this is the first one thats lasted quite a while.

I am amazed that no one has said anything about the Sony laptops, cuz from my experience they're very versatile and last pretty long.
I bit on the high end list but well worth it.
