Was'nt Aerie's Uncle in BG1 as a npc?

Yes, in fact a lot of the npc:s from BG1 are somehow included in BG2.

I think pretty much every character that joined your party in BG1 pops up somewhere in BG2. I can only think of two or three that don't, but I just might not've met them yet.
