I Know That Yoshimo Is A Traitor, But I Didn't Have Him When I Fought Irenicus. When I Got Back To Athkatala After The Underdark, I Walked Into The Copper Coronet And Yoshimo... Died. I Saw It. It Just Looked Like He Was Shot, And He Fell Down Dead With NO Explanation. Does Anyone Find That Stupid? If You Didn't Know He Was A Traitor, And You Didnt Have Him In Your Party, You'd Get Suspicious When He Just... DIED..

I found him suspicious because he kept asking so many questions. AND because I found him in Irenicus dungeon.

He die because he has a Gaias cast on him, and if he does not get you to irenicus he die.

I say shove a Long Sword +1 up his back the second you see the sneaky hoodlum! He never pulled his weight around in my group anyway.

1) He survived, free, in Irenicus' prison, making it alive past a variety of monsters with only modest hiding skills.

2) He keeps asking questions of my character.

3) His jokes are old.

He must die.

Actually, paying enough attention to continuity to have a character whose under a spell in the storyline meet their end if thay fail at their task even though theyre not actively in your group is pretty darn good game design....shows the amount of thought that was put into all the myriad story elements in the game. Would it have been better if Yoshi had gone on living, even though you know he was supposed to die from the geas if he failed at his task? Its really hard to understand the use of the phrase "bad game design " , when reffering to a game like BG2. You should probably go out and buy Pools of Radiance 2 so you have a basis for comparison and can better put things in perspective.

that would've been cool!....i'll have to check it out now.....
i always hated him for 3 reasons.

1. he was bloody nosey!
2. he couldn't really use many weapons
3. you could tell that the b@stard was going to backstab you!

Yea But Some People Wont Know Why He Died!!

Suzaku 04-04-2002 12:45 PM

First time through I think people would keep him in your party seeing as how he's the best thief in the game(IMHO), plus I thought he's cool(still do after beating the game). Ahh, redemption...
