BTW, on the "glue" question: most glue is activated by the presence of air, which makes it dry. It's also why it's increasingly harder and harder to get glue out of a bottle after you start using it up. I found a container of Carpenter's wood glue in the shed this spring that had been there for who knows how many years. Although it had not stuck to the inside of the bottle (these questions weren't mine originally but were meant to be jokes) the glue itself had the consistency of a non-sticky dough.
