Assuming SOA has multiplayer capabilities (I've never played the game before) couldn't a person just use a cheat to get a lot of gold, or to level up all the way with the debug cheat stuff and come online and kick everyones butts?

Of course. That's why i hate online multiplayer. You always have cheaters.

Sry.... I just HAD To do a one word answer.... neway yes... u can cheat in Multiplayer... but the whole idea is NOT to... If u r having a dual a basic rule is u r not aloud to use the ctrl-y cheat... for obvious reasons... u arent even aloud to use them in what is known as one GSA (and probably others) as "HACKED" duals..... i.e "hacked" duals r duals where all characters can be edited to ur hearts content.. and u fight them....

But neway the bottom line is U CAN cheat... but ppl get VERY annoyed with u if u do and it is a non-hacked game.

well i play alot of multiplayer games and i hate it when they hack i dont play just leave right away .......

if you even going to play dont hack or cheat in multiplayer

i sort of cheat by playing the game all the way through to tob and at the end of tob then i export my main charicter to the begining of soa and i repeat this a few times till i am unbeatable but if i was to play a multyplayer game i would start with a new charicter

So people can press Ctrl+Y and kill your character?! Never been on multiplayer yet, but this is sure discouraging. There was some post a few weeks back on questions on how to beat some Barbarian with AC -21...Aiyah!

Aiyah!!! indeed :eek: cheating is stupid, i have never done it in any game and i dipise people who do. Counter strike(half-life - off track i know, sorry) is a great game but cheating is so common ive given up on it now. never tried BG2 online, i suppose it would take a LOT of commitment!! :D
