the last post in my story got me thinking...is ironworks, in reality, a tribute to the god of the smith?

Gond
Wonderbringer
God of Blacksmiths, artificers, crafts and construction
True Nuetral
Lesser Power
Concordant opposition

Symbol:A toothed wheel of brass, bronze, iron or bone.
NOTES: Gond appears as a red hued smith with a mighty hammer, and has at his disposal a forge and anvil with which he may hammer out the stuff of stars. Those who venerate him are primarily tiners, alchemists, and builders, but on the isle of Lantan(q.v.) considers worship of Gond a state of religon, and nowehere else is the mania for invention(or their success) so strong.

or could their be a greater power at work? Or perhaps Ziroc is the avatar of Gond?

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

While I do appreciate your insightful look at the god of smiths, I'de appreciate that you NOT post moronic things like that.

So wait, if YOU'RE Gond, then am I me or am I somebody else?

Dramnek_Ulk 06-21-2001 03:38 PM

i think moradin is more appropiraite

Moradin - Father God (LG)

Moradin is the father and the protector of the dwarves. He revealed to them the great crafts of metal and stone work, and tutored them in the wisdom of an ordered society. The dwarfs also consider him to be the guardian of the underworld (both the literal, and the land of the dead). He guides his children in this life, and protects and rewards them in the next.

Moradin’s symbol is a hammer over an anvil. He is associated with the Domains of Earth, Good, Protection and Law and his favoured weapon is the warhammer.
