Ok there are two so here:

1. There are three words in the english language that end in the letters -gry. They are everyday common words (as we are told). So if you come up with them Please tell me!

Alright No. Two!

What is greater than god?
More evil than the devil?
The poor have it.
The rich need it.
And if you eat it you will die.

Now give me that one.. I don't have the answer for that one.. It's been stumping me for quite some time!

Hi Balor! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/wavey.gif
The first one I saw on the Riddle Thread that was here a week or so ago. The answer is "gry" - it is a word. It gave and explanation, but I don't remember what it was now. You can search for it if you want.

The second one is "NOTHING"! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...hterpurple.gif

Mammawlin you have been deluded then because your answer isn't right.
The third word is "language" (there are three words in 'the english language') but you told it wrong so now it doesn't work http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

gry is the last word

Melusine 06-15-2001 10:43 AM

The original riddle (in PS: Torment) is sth like:

These words end in -gry: hungry, angry. There are three words in the English Language. Which is the third word?

The answer then would be "language"

And, technically speaking, 'gry' cannot be said to end in -gry
