In my opinion i say the Staff of the Magi and Carosmyr are the best weapons. And the Armor of the Heart is the best armor. Very cool.

for me it dpends what class im playing at the time. Right now its Armour of the deep night+5 and the the +5 short sword you make with heart of the damned in ToB..i dont remember what its called. needlesss to say they rock :D

i dont have ToB yet but in SoA id say celestial fury or Staff of the Magi for weapons and hmmm tough one...id say just some full plate mail +something for armor...i dunno...my Warrior/Thief/Mage uses a Travellers Robe but i cant say its the best "armor" in the game (=...

Since this is an SOA forum, I will only say about those in SOA(other reason being that I am not familiar with those in TOB)
weapon:carsomyre+5, staff of the magi, staff of the woodland(sp?), crom fyrer(sp?)
