From what I understand, one has to get permission from an artist to use his/her artwork and the *.gif must be hosted on a site that your signature line hyperlinks to. Please, let me know if I have any of this wrong.

What I am wondering is if there is a general *.gif site (or sites) where the pictures are public domain and if I can link directly to that site. Specifically I'm hoping for an older sailing vessel or a dingy. Any idea where I might find these? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/ponder.gif

We have some real sig experts out there. May I suggest you try contacting Wolfgir (he helped with mine) or Slackerboy has helped alot of people with sigs. I would e-mail them (e-mail should be in their profiles, I know Wolfie's is). Several people can host your sign once you have it. Tobbin hosts mine, Wolfie hosts some and there are probably others.

Just follow it. Ziroc or Slackerboy can host it for you. Oh there is a size limitation. Wah told me that it is around 300K. Mine was to big, so Slackerboy fixed it for me.

My first one was induced. My wife loved it. She begged the Doctor to induce the second one!!! He wouldn't though. She had to be patient.
