I have a problem trying to start a game in both BGII and IWD.I've rolled a character in BGII and a whole party in IWD but in both cases when I go to start the game after character creation it says "need disc 2". The disc is in there, it works, I can play saved games but not start a new one. Any ideas on what I've screwed up? I'm not a computer expert

Me neither, just bumping, good luck, bye.

I remember hearing something about a problem with the program finding the cd's during install, but never heard anything about having that problem after the game has been installed. Have you downloaded the updates?? Try doing the full install. Try reinstalling. Try smacking your computer around... I don't know, but good luck!

I had the same problem once with BG2. I had disk 2 in the drive and it said it was not there so I put disk 1 in and it worked fine

Pauly - I remember having the same problem. I called Interplay and they said you have to go into your CD-rom hardware driver and type in "read ahead" or something like that. I don't know the exact details but Interplay has the solution. Its a real easy fix http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
