I'm gonna run through BG2 again and cant decide between a kensai and Archer. ONe of the main things that would effect my decision is the strongholds - i know how the D'arnise keep works but i was wondering about the ranger stronghold. What can you do with it and are there any associated quests - do you get decent items etc.

The Rangers stronghold, is a cabin in the Umar Hills. After completing the Umar Hills quest, the Mayor asks you to protect the village. Well, he doesnt ask you, he just give you the cabin, really. When you get to it, you'll find some good items there. And then, after a while, you get different quests to do. YOu'll also get a couple of good items.
IMO, the Rangers stronghold is REALLY good, so I suggest you choose the Ranger. ;) </font>
