I've recently installed BG2 SoA (with the latest patch) and am quite enjoying playing it. Unfortunately my PC crashes with Fatal Exception Errors (Blue Screen of Death) every so often. This only happens with BG2.
Is this happening to anyone else? P.S. That Yoshi's an annoying git, isn't he? |
I am getting some strnge crash too but not blue screen, the game just close. IT started happening after I killed the everything in the Guarded Coumpound.

I've had this Blue Screen of Death as well. I don't know why.

sometimes I've got the same problem, although not many times...
About yoshi, He is an excelent thief, I miss him a lot... |
Some days I get a BSOD every 1/2 hour, most days I can go two or three hours between crashes though.
This has me confused - until recently I didnt even have an overclocked CPU, and Infinity is the only engine that shows any problems. No idea how to fix it, but i can live with it. |
I had the blue screen of death with bg1 and 2, it happens once in a while, especially after a big battle when attempting to save game :(

Ehh probably your computer (Yoshi is annoying but is good to bad he is a statue in the sewers!)

i had this same problem on my old computer, a pos HP . it only happened when i tried to save, whether auto-save or quick-save, i had all the patches too. i got so frustrated cause i culd never get out of the 1st area w/out it crashing. but now i have a new comp w/out the patches and its working great. i think if your computer is slow and really sucks ass ull get the BSOD

My PC isn't too bad: a Pentium III 650MHz running with 320MB of SDRAM and a Voodoo4 4500 32MB graphics card. I've just changed my power supply from a 235W to a 300W - this whole think might have been caused by my motherboard not getting enough juice. I'll let you all know. Thanks for all the responses folks |
iwas playing a evil character and thought of killing yoshi but i didnt and am thankful he was very helpful also ive only had bsod once and just rebooted that seemed to take care of it.
