every time i try to load a game an error comes up. if anyone could help please do so

I guess it would help if i showed the error wouldn't it??? :D :D

Error is:
An assertion number failed in CGameEffect.cpp at line number 2546

If anyone could help please do so!!

For what it's worth, I'd suggest moving your saved game directory elsewhere on your drive, uninstalling the game, then reinstalling it and putting the saved game directory back in place. (You'll have to start up a new game in the new install first, to create that saved game folder. Then, just copy your old folder over it.)

This happened to me once in bg1. The only way to restore it is....no, I didn't found a way. But, I learned that I shouldn't erase my autosave.

its only the one game and its autosave. very strange.
