I accidently killed Nauselom in the first attack and did not get any shadow stones to place in the Templar Knight Statue. Any suggestions? I did same the game under a different name about eight mazes ago, but would like to avoid replaying that part of the Shadow Realm.

Welcome to the boards, Tom Kartes! May the goblins sign their own death notices when they hear your name...

How in the devil did you "accidentally" kill him in the first attack? :? I'm really curious, because he gave me a devil of a time, and killed me at least once along the way.

In any case, I don't know if anyone has hacked the game yet to be able to "retrieve" missing inventory items. If you didn't follow Momma Hissy's advice and save early and often, and especially before, then I don't think I have good news for you... :(

Perhaps someone else has a few more thoughts on the matter. And while they're thinking, what kind of character are you playing that's dealing out that kind of damage?

Welcome to the board, Tom Kartes!!!

I believe that when you kill him you're supposed to get a Shadow Septre and a gate is supposed to open.

I have no suggestions other than to replay from your last save. I checked the save files and don't see any obvious means of hacking items (which I was able to do for W&W). :(

The way that bit is supposed to go is that you do battle with him, and every time you "vanquish" him, he teleports away, leaving a shadow stone, and then reappears, fully healed. After you've got five shadow stones, you can then get the scepter, which does far more damage to him.

He threw me for a loop when we did battle because I never saw him teleport away the fifth time. I kept battling and battling, with nothing to show for it. Finally I checked my inventory and found the fifth stone... or else it was going to be a long, long night.

I found that only the scepter could really damage him. The fight was over shortly after I got my hands on it.

ah so!!

Well, checking through the save files they are using a different means of storing items - they are not apparent in the save files that I can see so I can't hack shadow stones. :(
