This seems to be a pretty decent game. I downloaded it some time ago from "The Home of the Underdogs" and just recently began to play. Although I do not desire to cheat my way thru this game I have read a walkthrough of it (for some ungodly reason the text is terrible and in some cases unreadable - the instances of text such as 'the party' are indicated as 'therty'). That aside, there isn't much help regarding the game in the tough spots!!! I have explored virtually every available area (using the SEARCH feature) to attempt to locate another staircase up or down. I have found what I believe is three floors above ground and at least six below. The advancement is pretty slow in this game with apparent level max. at 15. My guys are at level 7 and are not able to use better weapons yet!!! I have had no success in locating much of a walkthrough guide (which I guess I need by now but can't find a decent one) & have D/L the game manual in PDF format. Would appreciate any help from someone who has played this game as I hate to quit now. Where do I go to find the stairs (I assume down) to (what I would call Basement 7)???? Or, perhaps what I would call level 4 (above ground)?????

Thank you Nightowl2 for your response. Yes, I have tried Gamefaqs, Mobygames and various others who claim to have info on this game. They appear to all be using the same walkthrough and no other help. No sight of this game on eBay either. Am going to assume that attempts to locate a game guide from one of the publishers of those type of things would come up empty. It looks like I am just going to keep fiddling around with this thing till I make some headway. Recall reading somewhere a reference to a map or maps but maybe that is just wishful thinking. I have mapped out all the floors I have found and totally(?) explored so far. Hopefully I will find something I missed somewhere!!!!

The gamefaqs walkthru says something about the author trying to post maps for Uukrul on a newsgroup but it didn't work. That may be what you're thinking of.

Anyway, I did dredge up one other walktrhu, which I think is different:

I found this game myself a bit ago, and I'm giving it a whirl...boy is it HARD.


I'm level 4 currently, and I'm really having trouble finding something appropriate to fight. The monsters either give me little to no XP, or they kick my butt.


Weapons break fairly often (I've had a weapon break the first blow I struck with it immediately after buying it), money is hard to come by - I'm having trouble earning any money beyond enough to keep rations up for my party. So far, my priest is fairly worthless- because it's such a crapshoot as to whether a prayer will be answered or not.

Anyone else play this, have any tips?
