It's the dang disk, but I can't find my reciept, so I can't bring it back or get Atari to give me a replacement without that. This is the error I get both when I try to copy and when I try to install from the disk. I can't find any information online about this. Anyone have any ideas?

sounds like the disk is severly scratched... happened to my Dawn of war disk 1... and even if I had the receipt they didn't want to replace it... but luckily my friend had a copy of it, so I copied at and got a nocd fix for it... and now it works fine.

How much did you pay for the game? My Gamestop has it for $9.99! Perhaps buying a cheap replacement is your best bet.
Another option is to try and burn a copy, but knowing Atari it has copy-protection that is a pain in the ass to crack. Yet another option, and probably not a good one, is to use a Disk DR. or similar device to resurface the disk. Resurfacing kits cost anywhere from 10 bucks up to 50. |
