First off the embarassing question.

I played counter strike for HL2 and I must say it is awesome. Just like the old days (five years ago) but you see when I killed the last terrorist he apparently planted a bomb. And I just realized...I dunno how to defuse it. I looked in the Key menu and found nothing and I scrolled through it three times. Did I miss it?

I am very surprised nobody mentioned Half Life 2. Jeez!

The game exceeded my expectations. And it never feels real boring and to put a long story short. It is not a Doom III. The Gravity gun is marvelous, it manipulates the beautiful physics and the physics this time unlike other games *coughDeus Ex:Invisiblewarcough* are not exatterated. Sure you need a new kick arse graphics card but I must tell you. It is worth it! I will elaborate later...when I am finished with my homework...that I have yet to start. :hee:

That's happened to me before. And all my teammates yelled at me. I then shot them all in the back when they spawned :D

You use the bomb. Default is E, jsut hold it and a progress bar pops up.

*eye twitches and smacks himself* How could I forget the obvious! Arghh I feel stupid! Thanks a whole bunch!

Well I thought CS:S was pretty dull, but I burned out on twitch multiplayer fragfests years ago.

HL2 however, that is easily the best SP game I've ever played... finished it last Friday, can't wait for part 2.

Part 2, you mean an expansion pack?

Yea, based on the finish of this one I expect we'll see an expansion sometime next year... can't wait. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Anyway, I was a bit surprised myself that it took a week for a thread about the most anticipated PC game of the decade so far to pop up here.

About the game, it was too short, had a too abrupt ending, too few enemies and too few weapons.

Other than that it's the best FPS I've ever played, some parts were just mesmerizing. That whole segment with the river boat kept me nailed to my computer for 3 hours (nearly shat my pants when I saw that giant chimney come crashing down in the distance) and the gravity gun is the coolest weapon to appear in an FPS game yet, when I got to trap town I just played around with it for about 2 hours before proceeding on with the plot. And that upgraded version you get later on, damn... I really loved pulling huge command consoles off the walls, ripping off bolts and cables and everything in the process, and proceed to smash an entire combine patrol with it :D

Yeah HL2 rocks becuase of the phsyics. What is like about Hl2 is that it can works prety well on slower systems too.
