I remember a couple of really old sega genesis games I enjoyed.

In one, you were a marble (or maybe just a circle) and you had to get to the end of the level as fast as possible. Running into obstacles would take away from the remaining time, and there would be point bonuses or time bonuses that you could roll over, but I can't remember which one, or if it was both. The view was directly over the marble.

In the other, you were a top of some sort, and had to navigate through maze/puzzle things. There were buttons you could go over, and some would add ramps or change the landscape so you could complete the level. The view was like Starcraft's, the kinda above-but-not-directly-over view.

Anyone remember these old games?

I thought that was on atari and had the starcraft view. I'll have to check.

I still don't think it was marble madness. It was 2d, directly overhead view the obstacles were large squares with an X inside. the edges and X flashed yellow and red.

I thought of another old game I kinda liked, a SNES one this time. It was a game with a camera like the SNES zelda game, you went through the area and beat up all the enemies that came at you. You had a partner that would help and attack, and you could throw them and they would make a big explosion wherever they hit. The 3 partners you could choose from were a raccoon guy, a ninja-looking little girl, and this big guy that had a lot of muscles. You would get one new partner in just about every level, but at the start of the level, you could only choose one of the original three. The first boss was a giant with a breakable wooden shield, and he shot his claws/fingernails at you. I think there were two levels where you rode on a dragon, and it was like a vertically-scrolling shooter.

I know I've played the SNES one, but I don't remember it's name.

If the SNES game is the one I remember playing ages ago, it's probably Pocky and Rocky (or Pocky and Rocky 2).

It might be the second one. I couldn't find any screenshots of any one thing in the game I remember well, but I know it looked at least somewhat like that.

I remember some more about it. The second boss turned into some white fox like thing when it got low on health, and couldn't be hurt when it was waving its tail, I think. The second level's helper person was a scarecrow. I think the second level was a farm. One level was a snow level, and the special character there was a mole, or something like that. The boss was some sort of ice fairy thing. There were two paths on the first level, and two shops. The other levels only had one shop, if any. The level itself was rectangular, and you started near the lower left corner. You could only choose one path, which was why there were two shops. The explosions from when you threw the character were different for each one. The raccoon's explosion was a giant lava (I guess) raccoon statue. The big muscular guy's was his name in fire.
