If I have the Unarmed skill at 150%, I can hit anything in the eyes with a 95% chance. How would increasing above that help me? I guess I could score more criticals then, but when I get the Slayer perk, it doesn't change a thing whether the skill is at 200% or 300%, does it?

The 95% to hit is as best as you can get in Fallout 1/2, IIRC. The 5% failure is for events that are classified as "shit happens".
Not sure about The Slayer Perk. I am more of a "sniper" and "bonus range damage" person. ;) |
If you have more % you are going to do more damage.

Are you sure you can hit anything? There may be tougher enemies that you'll face later on.
edit - Without knowing where you are in the game, I'm assuming that there are tougher enemies coming your way later. [ 06-19-2004, 01:11 PM: Message edited by: Kazilan ] |

I'm thinking whether my points would be better invested into something else? |
I will try to explain this as easy as possible, first of all with higher % the dmg will increase, second of all different enemies have different resistance/armor class to melee attacks, so it means that with 300% in melee you have 95% to hit any opponent regardless of his/hers/its armor class.

Thanks! |
300% in Unarmed is OVERKILL, especially if you intend to take the Slayer perk. There are so many other skills that you will want to level up as well.
150-152% will more than suffice for the entire game. I personally stop at 125-127%. |
