I'm currently making a website which will (hopefully) have a huge list of both freeware and shareware retro RPGs. By retro, I mean stuff like the top down views or first person dungeon crawling. Those kind of stuff. Anyway, I need your help guys! If you could post as many of these as you know, that'd be an excellent help and I'll put you on the credits page or something ;) .

Check out this site:

Home of Exile (many) and Avernum (many). Plus some other games. All very retro stuff. Active mod community, too.

You might want to pay a visit to Home of the Underdogs. They have quite an extensive collection of retro games, hopefully you will have games that they don't carry. ;)

The website has been released!

Well, technically it's been released. It's pretty much empty game-wise but I plan to spend many hours scouring the web to compile all your favourite old games into one easy-to-navigate website. Dalamar, Nightowl and Paladin have gone on the credits section for contributing useful information.

Dalamar: I added the Zork games first seeing as you were so enthusiastic
Paladin: That website is a great help and will be used a lot to find out old RPGs.
Nightowl: Those games looked so good I downloaded them myself! I'll be adding those next, so thanks!

So, you're free to visit it when you want. Don't go there expecting a totally amazing masterpice because it isn't . More like something I bunged together in a few minutes. After all, it's quality, not quantity ;) . But it will get updated - I promise!

Oh, and who was it that told us about the Castle of the Winds game? I liked that, so it's on there as well...

Ah yes! The URL! www.retrorpgs.tk - enjoy!

Police Quest(as many as you can), Ultimas I-V, All the Space Quests(im big on Sierra), Stonekeep, Eye of the Beholder, and as many Sierra point based RPG's you can find!!!

Do you have any issue with old-but-not-exactly-freeware games? I *ahem* downloaded Monkey Island I (VGA version) and Monkey Island II. Those games are quite fun to play but most websites do not host them because technically Lucasarts is still selling the game.

If you do not have any special issue with hosting such games, I will give you the link where you could download Monkey Island I and II.

Add Mordor: The depths of Dejenol, and Mordor 2.
