Yesterday a friend gave me his old copy of CM4 (championship manager 4) which my computer has the specs for but for some reason the game will freeze when I click on an icon or bring down a toolbar. This never happened on his machine and I cannot think of a reason why this should happen on mine. I can fight battles in the 3D medieval total war simulations but can't bring down a toolbar on basically a non moving background. Please any help would be greatly accepted by the general!!

well Im not quite sure of your problem. Drivers up-to-date and such?

The one thing I will say is that this game does run very slowly. One of my mates has a top spec computer, and it is still awful slow!

I bought Championship Manager 4 when it was initially released and it wouldn't work on my computer either. It is known as one of the buggiest games ever, and many true CM fans hated it because of this. Even if you get the game working there is a host of in game bugs as well which ruin the game. There were a number of enchancement packs released for the game which fix most(but not all)bugs. If you haven't downloaded the latest enhancement pack called EP5 I would download that to see if it fixes your problem. Links to download the pack should be found at www.sigames.com

There is also a very good forum there which will give some good support to hopefully get your game up and running. You may have to wait a day so they can approve your registration but the people there will probably be of more help than anyone could here.

Anyway Championship 03/04 is far more bug free than CM4 and IMO is a MUCH better game, it was everything CM4 was meant to be, I own that it even though CM4 never worked CM03/04 works fine :D Just one the Spanish League title with Sevilla so I'm in a good mood right now :D

CM4 was quite a buggy game. It run too slow on my computer. and after pressing done it compltely freeze my computer.

I rather be playing CM97/98 instead.
