When playing this game, the sound of stutters or has static in it. I've already tried everything on the list in the troubleshooting section of the manual. Any thoughts?

What kind of sound card do you have? Are you sure it's compatible with the game?

No soundproblems whatsoever on this side, must be your soundcard.

I had some sound problem until I patched the game. The game has some compatibility issue with Intel 850 chipsets.

Other than that, what sound card are you using?

I have a solution. Sell the bloody game and buy it again for Xbox! I assure you that there would be no problems!

But if not that solution then answer Mr.PALAdin's question!

No no no! Keep it on PC! Much better, with extra items and improved navigation interface! :D
Do you use onboard sound out of interest? Cos I do, and I had a sound problem (slightly different to yours) but when I patched my video drivers (yes, video) to 53.03 fo my GeForce, the problem was solved. It may be a conflict between your sound and vid drivers, though that's a pure stab in the dark...

Hm.. I think the CD may be scratched. I installed it on two different computers, and the sound was bad both of the times.

Paladin2000 01-24-2004 01:23 PM

In that case, why don't you do a full installation and run the game with a NO-CD crack? I never play games directly from CDs anymore since I discovered *ahem* gamescopyworld.com.

Hm.. good idea. Tried that, and it seems to be a bit better. As long as I don't click through conversations. Also, I have a question about this card game. I just purchased a deck of cards, but I can only use the four Hand cards I choose at the beginning of the game.. how do I use other cards?

Oh Pazaak... a nice little version of the infamous Black Jack.

Four cards are randomly drawn on each game. To improve your chances of winning, you should try to acquire a +/- combo cards later in the game. I mostly filled the right hand slots with the following cards:

(+/-)1 x2
(+/-)2 x2
(+/-)3 x2
(+/-)4 x2
(+/-)5 x1
(+/-)6 x1

Total = 10 cards.

(+/-) card are the best because you can use it as either +x or -x. For example, a (+/-)5 card can be used as either +5 or -5.

Tip: Try not to use up all your cards too early. You may need them in later rounds to win or to avoid loosing.
