Okay... Altar/Farm first always. All of the races have the exact same type of buildings, so what'll work for one race will usually work for all of them. Heroes are key. Losing all of your heroes for some people is the equivalent of GG. Micro your butt off. You don't need to pay as much attention to your workers as you did in Starcraft because of their higher hitpoints, and you don't need nearly as many. Because of the fact that the units have so much health, micro is essential. Run away if you're losing. You'll be able to regain it in no time at all. Macro is unbelievable simple in WC3 as well.

In the campaign if you complete the human one, you unlock Undead. And then Orc, and finally you get the Night Elf one.
You will only get xp from killing things, or rarey from tomes. If you do a custom game you can play against the computer with whatver race you want, but be careful of jumping onto a race first time. The Undead harvest lumber with ghouls, not acolytes. That is a good tip for you. Every otehr race uses it workers for both. As a note Night Elves do NOT remove trees harvested with wisps, but they get less wood from one. Every race has pros and cons, so none are overly better. Night Elve are mostly ranged troops, while orcs are primarilly melee. I recomend you play a good bit of the campaigns as even the story is good, and you get a good clue on how stuff works. Infact, you've now made me want to go play. |
The Warcraft 3 patch 1.13 is out. It now added the password retrieval thing via email. Hmmm..just hope what happen in D2LOD won't happen in this one. ;)

You also have to play this game online, it is brilliant!!! Most of the online gamers dont like noobs however so if your going on PM me and Il come on to and we can play together if you want, I can teach you the ropes.
Also in single player try and do all the optional quests and explore most of the map. Obviously this is not essential but you get some good items (claw of attack +6, tomes, cloaks, etc.) You also get some good fights against golumns etc. But dont be surprised when your level stops going up, in single player you can only gain 1 level-up in every level. |
Thank you guys !
