Im playing Vampire: The Masquerade now, and i must say that, though an excellent game, its a tad bit hard. im stuck already, and im only in the monastery! how am i supposed to kill Mercurio? he kills me VERY fast, and i cant seem to beat him no matter what tactic i use...
|
Mecurio oh that guy. I can understand your problem he is hard as hell! I attack smack him wack him. And just when he is going breathe his horrible breath I flee. Or I do this I attack with Christof first when he gets hit by the gas he will flee and Wilhem will take his place. Note: I never tried these tactics before so I'm not sure if they'd work. I had a very very good tactic but it's just that I haven't played the game for almost a year now. And forgotten a lot of things.

Sheesh, you have your work cut out for yourself if you think THAT'S hard. :D
Do you have Celerity ? If so, cast it for Christoph, and let Wilhelm use Feral claws. Peace of cake. ;) Btw, if you earned some cash yet, don't hold back and go spend it at the smithy's. Use it to buy some better armour, or better swords. |
yeah, as johnn said, get good equipment at the smithy. Use a 'walk the abyss' scroll to transport back to Prague and sell off all of the junk you've been picking up throughout the dungeon (you have been picking up junk to sell right? ;) ).
Personally, at this stage of the game I put practically all of my xp into strength, thus making my hits alot more damaging. You need a good sword, and you have to hit Mercurio HARD! Relentless attacks, don't give him a chance to heal himself. |
well, i do have about 5,000 exp points to spend per person and about 1000+ gold and alot of junk, but im just too lazy to go back to town...i guess ill go visit Prague and then try again. the thing is, Mercurio practically kills me with one hit with his staff. Ill let yall know in a minute how it goes...

Then don't wait until the level is finished to add the XP to your characters, but go to your place below the university, click on the coffin, and add some strength to both Wilhelm and Christoph. And see if you have enough to raise one of your disciplines, preferably Celerity. ;)
|
Indeed it helped alot. I bought a Dread Broadsword(though i cursed myself right after, for there was a Dread Flamberge which i could have afforded, and it was better  ), then used all my points to gain 60 strength and another point in celerity, and something else for Wilhelm. I didnt even lose too much HP this time...the golem was a piece of cake aswell! I guess i shouldnt be that lazy in the future...

Don't be spending those XP points at every occasion you run into a problem though. You'll be learning new disciplines after most chapters, and you wanna have enough points to master some new spells, trust me. ;)
