can sum1 help.im stuck in the mind flayers . does any1 know a decent spell that is effective against them. or how to kill them.

Mind Flayers have a very high magic resistance, so if you're going to use magic against them directly, be sure to cast Lower Resistance first.

As far as summoned creatures are concerned, follow Mossy's advice - a few Skeleton Warriors will be able to diapatch a horde of Illithid without much trouble.

A good spell to protect your party members from their psionics is the Priest spell Chaotic Commands. I'm afraid that there is no protection against INT drain though.

And about that second thread, maybe it would be a good idea to delete the other one. You have no replies on that one, and you're able to delete your own threads.

Protection from magic weapons will guard against the hit that causes the int drain.

Yes Prot. from magic weapons does stop u getting intelli drained.... but one of my FAVOURITE tactics vs. the Flayers and ulitarid is Summoning a pit fiend to block the door.... and arrow bombardment from behind... the pit fiend gets Stunned but luckily he doesnt get intelli drained... so you have protection from the buggers in the room while u peg them off nice and easy :D

Also the Mind Flayers in Athkatla can be easily killed by a cloudkill filled spell trigger into the room then slamming the door shut so they all die in there while trying to get too you [img]graemlins/biglaugh.gif[/img]
