I don't get it. How do I spy?

It has been awhile since I played but I think you need to first create an intelligence agency in one of your cities, than double click the symbol above the city that represents the intelligence agency. You should be offered some options for espionage at outrageous prices.

Yeah I've built the intelligence agency. Never thought of clicking on the symbol though! The civilopaedia is really lacking for espionage, the entries go something like - 'create embassies in enemy cities'; 'spies can do this, this and this'. Usually the civilopaedia is useful but not for spying.

Thanks!

Good to find another Civ 3 player !

I have one problem with spying ( Monarch Level ) : It's close to impossible for me because in 90 % of my trys I get caught . What can I do ? If I have this problems now what happens on the highest difficulty level ? Can I ignore spying then ? Or are there races that are easier to spy than others and if it is so how can I find it which race it is ?

I hope you can help me . Thank you

I've only managed once. I always get caught no matter what I do. However that's a great way to start a war without losing too much reputation. ;)

You do lose a lot of money though.

"Gold is never in short supply for long", this is true for CIV3 aswell. as for the success of planting a spy, i have this faint memory of reading from somewhere that it has something to do with how impressed the other civilization is with yours...might to totally incorrect, however. btw, does anyone have Play the World? is it any good?(its an expansion pack to civ3, btw)

this game is VERY VERY real. you've got to have the brains and balls... err no. you just have to know how the system really works... it sucks for me but hey... the realism is just wow... so good luck guys! :D
