Well, you might try the most conventional way: sollicitating through letters :D
A guy I knew here in holland, used to make these awesome 3D-CG movie-clips in C++ I think? Anyway, he mailed those movies to some game-companies and now he's in the lower ranks of Eidos in France :D
You need to be very skilled and quick to make it in that business, I can telll you that!

You mainly want computer knowledge or good art skills and lots of dedication many game companies already have their fill of workers.
If you are look for that type of job GOOD LUCK GUY.

Most of the times they even need people who can think up good story lines as well. Not only programmers and artists, but also those kinda people. And you could always become a secretary ;)

Thanks for the suggestion I'm not to good with programming (actually pretty crap)
But I am a better artist and have thought about being an artist and I have had ideas for a game. Say if I had an idea for an actuall game I'd need story boards ect but how would I explain how the game play would be like. Also who would I send it to?

Acutually I reckon the best place to get idea is from the consumers. So if anyone has suggestions or what type of games the like please feel free to comment.
