Well, I think It's time don't you? I loved the Forgotten Realms games from BG to IWD2 and NWN's has made CRPG history. Now we even have a GreyHawk game(ToEE) which has had alot of success also.
Why won't they please, please please give us a god-damned Dragonlance game? I don't mind 2d! If it looks anything like ToEE did then I say go ahead and do it. I mean seriously, for those who own or can buy the license this game would be a goldmine. Has anyone heard rumors, news, even of speculation as to making a DL CRPG? |
Do they still make dragonlance books and pen and paper modules?
It would be sort of unrealistic to make a computer game for something that doesnt exist. Same with planescape torment... |

As for Planescape, the setting was incorporated in the rules. You can learn most of it from the Manual of the Planes and other sourcebooks. There is also an online Planescape community. [ 09-29-2003, 12:03 AM: Message edited by: Luvian ] |

There is a major Dragonlance module coming up for Neverwinter Nights. The bloody thing has so much custom content, its hard to find the original game underneath all of that ;)
Also, I think they are working on quite a large Planescape Module (City of Doors) as well. |
Yeah I'm dying for the DLA project. The CODI should be along soon also.

There were a few Dragonlance games back in the day... none of which were that good. One was actually as popular as to get onto the NES, where it flopped horribly I'm sure. There were a few old PC games I played too, tho most were so short and easy or long and impossible it wasn't even worth playing them. But yes, I agree, I need something new to waste my life on, and a Dragonlance game is just the thing! As long as there's at least one kender npc for humor and there's no 'return of Raistlin' hidden quests or stories

Perhaps you are referring to Dragons of Flame or Heroes of the Lance? Hmmph! The AD&D Gold box Dragonlance Trilogy was a brilliant series of RPGs which I for one spent many years of my early high school days exploring within. Champtions of Krynn, Deathknights of Krynn and The Dark Queen of Krynn - all using the same yet modified engine as the Forgotten Realms stuff: Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades and Pools of Darkness. These games are recognised as out and out classics and I'm sure many of the more experienced and more knowledgeable RPG gamers would agree. Champions of Krynn started at level two and was probably my favourite through its 'sweet-spot of levelling, yet The Dark Queen of Krynn was noticably more upgraded and featured some of the toughest encounters ever seen in these games. Thus, Dragonlance games have already been done, even if they are not page for page adaptions ofthe original Chronicles or Twins Trilogy, they are still highly worth playing for any dragonlance or AD&D fan. |
