I own an Xbox and it's a good console. You should buy one. It's is the most powerful console and alot of good games are scheduled to be realised in the coming months. You like RPG's don't you? So Star Wars:KOTOR is a must buy. What other types of games do you like? There's many good games but not many RPG's unfortunately. Tell me what other genres you like and I'll suggest some games.

You have similar tastes to me I also like RPG's and FPS's. If you like FPS's then an Xbox is a must as all the best FPS's are on it. Here's ones worth buying
Halo(well duh) Halo 2 (coming first 1/4 2004) Half Life 2 (coming soon) Doom 3 (coming soon) Return To Castle Wolfenstein Ghost Recon Serious Sam Timespilters 2 (has hard controls) Red Faction 2 (Haven't played it myself, heard it's okay) Max Payne (not a FPS but 3rd person a must own game and can be bought for cheap now!) Panzer Dragoon Orta (again 3rd person ,hard but fun) One RPG I would recomend is Shenmue II. A word of warning it's not for everyone but personally I love it! It's one of my favorite games ever. I would suggest you rent it first to see if you like it. That's all I can think off now but there's more! |
Mech Assault is fun, and I love the online play for it.
Also Knights of the Old Republic is a great RPG out for the XBox right now |

Doom 3 is so graphically advanced it would be torture to play it on such an underpowered console. i supposed technically it *could* run because it only *needs* a geforce 3, but with such low proceccor speed it would be painfully slow. the guys who are porting it have got a real fight on their hands. its like trying to get spinter cell to play on a mobile phone. its possible, but its gonna loose everything. litteraly. without Keyboard + Mouse + a decent system, i think these two games are not going to come off very well on a console. just use the money to upgrade your gfx card and be happy :D [ 09-16-2003, 03:43 PM: Message edited by: Zero Alpha ] |

KOTOR (in my area EB Games is giving it to you if you have 3 used GC or Xbox games) -- PC or Xbox, it is simply a must-have.
Ghost Recon -- very very good. I just hope you don't mind the other members of your squad killing things as well as you kill them. Desert Storm -- not a first-person view (3rd person behind the head). I liked it as much as Ghost Recon, though I realize Ghost is more advanced. Matrix -- a very fun little game with very cool bullet-time effects and moves. Plus, you get about 40 new minutes of the Matrix movie. Soul Caliber II ROCKS!!!! I am still learning just 2 characters. Buy the official guide to this one so you can figure out wtf all the moves are. Oh, and if you don't get a joystick with it, you'll be hard-pressed to do combo moves involving both A-Y and/or B-X buttons. |

I don't know about where you live, but it's bound to be cheaper than you think. Plus, the Xbox has some great games, just look here. Before even thinking of buying an Xbox, look at the rival consoles - PS2, GCN and make your decision based on which system has the games that you like the most. |
Well, I would recommend you to play Death or Alive : Beach Volleyball. you won't be disappointed. you even will say " ooh laa laa! " ;)
