Ok I got Yojimbo at a little over 200k I just need to know what the cost range in approximation is for his moves. I've paid as little as 10 gil to get his 2nd most powerful attack Wakizashi to occur, anything less results in Daigoro. How much do I need to pay to see the Zanmato attack? I've gone as high as 150k gil, but still only get the wakizashi.

It's mostly luck, I do believe. I personally have yet to see Zanmato, after paying the maximum amount of cash. I think they just put it there to make gamers pissed to spent large amounts of cash for nothing.

The minimum for cash paid to Yajimbo to perform Zanmoto is $250000. however, it's pretty random. so don't go overboard by paying more than that.

Grr... I hate it when something like that is so random. Speaking of being ticked. I was checking my way through the Omega Dungeon getting sphere levels and the like by the dozen, when I let my guard down for half a second and some Demonolith's hit me with stone breath and take down my entire party in one fell blow. AAAGGGGGHHHH!!! all that work gone to waste. Oh yeah, on my very first visit I was hit with a mimic, any easy way to kill those? They deal insane amounts of damage (nothing compared to the arena buggers though), and they seem impervious to physical and magical damage. Any ideas?

Yojimbo, IMO, is the coolest Aeon in FFX. Very hard to use and master, but if luck is on your side and you pay him a fair amount of GIL, he should do his Zanmato attack.

Easiest way to deal with the mimics is to simply not open the chests when they appear. I found it was easier an more productive to ignore the mimics and just kill the lizard thats with it and then move on to another fight. If you decide you want to fight them though, there are a couple different types of mimics. its a pain to really notice unless you pay attention cause its mostly invisible. 1 is pretty much immune to physical and the other to magic attacks. The easiest way to smoke them quickly is an Aeon ( my fave is Anima ).

Armor Break is still probably the most useful move in the game. If you have trouble hitting one of the Mimics with it, you can do Auron's overdrive... uh... I forgot the name. :X It's the one where he shoots little black orbs or something like that. It ALWAYS causes ever break status on the enemy hit.

Ehm, mimics are simply the chests in Omage Dungeon right? Have someone with the millionaire ability learned in your active party and then steal from the chests ....
If not, what are those mimics you're all talking about? |
Zuvio you mean Gillionaire? I've tried that before, (Rikku has her ultimate, the Godhand). What's so diffent with that than from the other thieving attempts? I still get nothing and they still attack.

Every so often in the Omega Dungeon, a random battle will occur whereby you fight a fiend and a treasure chest. If you try and steal from the treasure chest, one of two things will happen: 1: You will steal nothing, and a Mimic will appear. If you beat the Mimic and the fiend, you are rewarded with 50,000 GIL at the end of the battle. 2: You will steal a high-potion, ether etc. and a Mimic will not appear, thus you will not recieve the 50,000 GIL. If you can't defeat a Mimic with ease, you shouldn't really be in the Omega Dungeon. [ 09-13-2003, 01:59 AM: Message edited by: GokuZool ] |
