<font color = mediumspringgreen>Hello, friends,

I like games that incorporate strategy, tactics, and RPG aspects; and am typically not fond of arcade-like games that require0fast reflexes in order to beat (although I do play Diablo II online every once and a while).

The games I have enjoyed are typified by the following titles: Wizardry (I); Loderunner; Warcraft (I & II); Myth (I); Myth II (Total Codex); Age of Empires (I); Starcraft (I & II); Icewind Dale / Heart of Winter; Diablo II (LoD); Rollercoaster Tycoon; and Alpha Centauri. Also, I have bought (but not yet installed, for various reasons) BattleCruiser and Black&White.

Myth II was grand, might I say. I have never come across a game that was as precise as Myth, but several games share the aspect. You mentioned B&W; the two games share something in common: the satisfaction from destruction.

In Myth, you can blow a soldier up a wall, or shoot a scimitar across the screen; and in B&W, you can fling a worshippers across the land, or rocks into buildings.

I just finished Myth III. I enjoyed it but not as much as Myth TFL and Myth II. Still it was worth playing.

I would also recommend Warcraft III Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne. Good stuff!!

I didn't really like Myth3.. Myth:TFL was much better. Have you ever tried the Shogun games? They might be what you are looking for...

No, never heard of them... but will investigate. Hopefully they are available in the USA. Thank you!

A guy at a software store told me that the game "Sacrifice" has gameplay like Myth / Myth II. Anyone here that would agree/disagree with that?

I was going to suggest the total war games. They are part board game, sort of like risk or diplomacy, and part myth type battles with units.
