Ok I wandered into this secret room and killed a lich after messing with his cofin. After he dide I took the "golden torso" What do I do with it? It doesn't seem to do anything and isn't worth much so it must be a quest item but I can't figure out what to do with it.

you need to keep the torso, and you need to collect some golden legs as well. It is for Kangaxx the demi-lich who is in the dock district,(one of the houses at the bottom,door locked). I am not quite sure where the arms are, either in the skinners house? or the unseeing eye HQ coffin?

Oh no.... I killed that one too. Was it an important quest?

you haven't done anything wrong, but if u didn't get/keep the arms and legs you need to get them, I don't suggest doing the battle unless you have at least 1 +5 weapon, as you need IIRC +4 min in order to hit him, let alone take him out, there are a number of tactics for defeating Kangaxx try a search, I only just defeated him last night myself for the first time (many reloads later I might add.

You can't kill Kangaxx until you've got the golden legs and golden torso from the other two.

Once you have both parts, and return them to Kangaxx, prepare for one of the most challenging battles of the game!

the demi-lich easy? yes with just one simple spell. wizard eye. this little guy cant be imprisoned. so when u kill the outer shape( he then goes int o a transformation i.e. the red glow) just cast it right next to him and make sure that your characters are behind the eye and you should kill him easily. suggest haste too.

Remember that you can only use Wizard's eye (casted very close to the demi-lich) if ToB isn't installed. When ToB is installed the Wizard's eye gets smacked in no time (spell has been changed in ToB). Use protection from undead (scrolls) and the battle will be pretty easy. +4 or +5 weapons are needed.
