You can hire officers who raise your skills. But however, your skills do not stack with your officers' skills. I mean if your leadership is 5. And you hire an officer with leadership 3. Your leadership does not increase. If you hire an officer with leadership 6. It sets your leadership to 6. So which skills to gain when you level up and which skills to leave to your officers. One more thing, they die very quickly in sea plunder/battles. It's a good idea to level'em up? Any advices and suggestions all welcome! I'm a newbie like all of us:)
