Wait hold up is the game like Everquest? All you do is play online with other gamers and no single player mode? If so do you need to pay for it monthly.

Yes .. it's somewhat like everquest ... tho much improved. Better graphics, interesting storyline, less penalty for death etc. You don't level in the traditional ways, but by developing skills. So far I'm enjoying it a lot. You don't have to group to enjoy the game, tho it's the best way to get 'training' as group members often train you for free. It can be very expensive to go to NPC trainers. Also, if you wish to do missions (which are the best way to get cash) it's often necessary to group to survive them.

There are many options for individualization in skills, but the basics are artisan, brawler, medic, marksman, entertainer ... to name a few. You can combine skills from different professions to create your own type too.

Anyway, yes it's an online MMORPG and unfortunately there is a monthly fee to play it.

I'm enjoying it a lot so far.
