i just visited blackisle webpage and they are making a new game similar to fallout but in a different setting in the 16th century. anyone heard of this.. im browsing the site but i cant find the releast date. it looks like a cool game :D

According to gamefaqs. the release date is 8/13/2003.

Well the orignal programmers of fallout formed troika, which is making TOEE, and made steamworks arcanum.

Black Isle is actually the +publisher+ of lionheart, the developer is a french company I cant remember the name.

So... if you were to say black isle made fallout that is true, but they arent making lionheart really... and the programers of fallout are somewhere else now.

Black Isle also made icewind dale and planescape torment, using the baldurs gate engine. and baldurs gate dark alliance for ps2. Although they didnt make baldurs gate. Try and decipher all of that.

Anyhow, its all very confusing. And whats more confusing, is that there are very strong recent rumors that black isle will announce fallout 3 soon.

Imo, Lionheart isn't going to be anywhere close to Fallout. I've had this discussion a while back on the Black isle boards aswell. It seems that others mostly base that assumption on the SPECIAL system that is going to be used and that's like comparing PST to icewind dale.

Anyway, there DO some to be a lot of rumors about a possible Fallout 3 though.

Well, the rumour is that the project they were working on was cancelled. It was rumoured to be baldurs gate 3, and they lost the license to baldurs gate for pc games ( they have it for console games still)

So one license they do have is fallout so they switched to fallout 3.

The baldurs gate 3 pictures that they leaked were in 2d btw, and I believe fallout 3 would be also.

Its on hold, not actually cancelled. That's what one developer said. And the engine is full 3D, view angle is just from isometric perpective.

pls oh pls let there be bg3 and fallout3... :D
