What is your favourite RPG villain, and from which game? Why?

Mine are Sephiroth from FFVII, and Kuja from FFIX!They are both badass and evil and greatly character-wise developed!

Definately Sephiroth from FFVII. For an number of reasons.
He was a bad guy but, didn't start off that way. He was used and lied to.
Then turned to vengence and lost his mind in the end. All things that make you pity and hate him.
That makes a really good villain.

Myria in Breath of Fire 3. She is trying to protect the world by not allowing them develop technology and from the powers of the brood(dragons)and even before yoiu fight her at the final battle she says that she regrets having to fight you. It's kinda hard to hate a person who is trying to protect you.

His royal highness Archibald from the MM and HoMM series. He was nasty indeedy, imprisoning his on brother etc. But then I am his loyal servant.

Kefka from FF3. Much better than any of the others from Final Fantasy, and the best one I can think of off the top of my head. He's mean, he's cruel, and he actually succeeds in his quest for world-domination. He's totally evil.

Fou Lu from Breath of Fire 4. you can actually control and play with him for 1/4 of the game. that's why I like him. he can fuse into a dragon, which makes him very powerful. I also like it with he says. " Thou art foolish! " ;)

Judas Maccabeus 02-27-2003 09:03 PM

Jon Irenicus from BG2. Great voice acting, great lines.

The master from Fallout 1. Because (s)he wasn't the typical villan in the 'I want to kill you because it suits me' type. He was taking over the world to try and force it to develop so that the people in that world would live in peace. Lofty goals but only a bit misguided.

Shodan from system shocks 1 & 2. A cyber baddie that evolves into her own idealised god and does a good job of trying to enact the apocalypse. Very cool.
