Okay, I am currently playing Torment and loving it, but I have realised that I have made a mistake when distributing out my weapon proficiency points. I don't have a save game to go back to in order to change my descions, either.
Now I'm not one for editors and hacks, but I was wondering if there is a reliable and stable program out there so I can change my proficiency points to the way I want them. I really love the game, but I don't want to restart it again just to fix this mistake. Can anyone help me? I would be very grateful. |
Be nice if there was a PlaneKeeper out there, but there isnt. Neb posted a link to one an age back, if the search was up id dig it out for you. Best bet is to use Google and hunt for a bit.

Planekeeper? I'll try searching for that. Thanx andrewas.

Unfortunatly there is no such thing as planekeeper, which is a pity because the Keeper series covers all the others. I was kindahoping neb would turn up and re-post that link.
Here though is one that teambg came up with: http://www.netkonnections.org/teambg...arediting.html Funny, didnt think they did save games. Oh well. Enjoy. |
Sorry mate, but when I click the links it tells me "file no longer exists."

This web page has a number of PS:T editors that you can try out.

Thanks for the cool link AndyG. BTW, does the game comes with 4 or 5 CD? I have searched all my shelves and boxes for the this game but I could only find 4 CD. and I think my wife have "accidently" threw away all the old manuals (takes up too much space... go figure)
Anyway, from the INI file, there should be a CD5... I hope I didn't loose the last CD. |
Paladin2000 the game actually came with 4 cd's. Maybe the 5th cd thing you found was for an expansion that was never made. Whatever the case, Planescape Torment only has 4 cd's to the game.

Thanks Bokken, the reference to the CD5 in the INI file really scared the sh*t out of me.
BTW, I copied all the CD's into the folder and edited the INI file, now all the gamedate and FMV scenematics are played from the harddisk. The game loading time has been decreased dramatically and also the FMV plays at a much smoother rate (no pause to wait for the CD access). If any of you have extra HDD space to spare, I would recommend to do it. Anyway, the game will still try to detect CD2 in the CD-ROM before executing the program. |
