I'm a McCaffrey fan and have read most of her Pern books (except for the latest stuff, can't seem to find the time) but I stayed away from this one due to the reviews. Apparently its quite abyssmal. Bad graphics, insipid gameplay etc. I love the Pern Books but I don't think they make a good premise for a computer game setting.
