it was one of those rare RPGs where you had a non-violent ending, though you had to figure out the ritual yourself.
For the uninitiated, the game was about a world where a demon, earlier imprisoned in a giant candle (hence the name) was threatening to be set free as it was running out. You and your party had to collect the necessary items and knowledge to perfrom a ritual to restore the candle and keep the demon imprisoned. You also had a time limit. Monsters in dungeons would not respawn ever. For those in outdoor/overland areas, clear them out and they would remain cleared for a while. I enjoyed it. It was also the first RPG I ever completed without any hints/tips/spoilers/cheats whatsoever. :D |
I downloaded all three MC's from TheUnderdogs.org never got around to playing them, though....

Loved that game.
Played it on my IIGS.... those were the days... |
How could I? Magic Candle II is one of the earliest RPG games that I have ever played on my 286.
As the result, in most of my later CRPG games; I named most of my human avatar as Lukas and my dwarf avatar as Sakar. |
