Are there any starting advice/tips you could give me without spoiling anything?
Can't... wait... much... longer... PS. Never order stuff from Interplay.com |
Hmm... enjoy and hae fun.. sit back relax... the good thing about this game is that there is no sense of rushing it.. the time is well placed and organized in my opinion... this game will not freak you out like BG2 did with all those quests piling up ;)

What can change the nature of a man?....
Great game, you are for a treat, just don't rush it and enjoy the story and dialogs. |
Find the option that allows you to 'run' instead of walking - otherwise it'll be a long game (well it is a long game, but running shorter it)

Tips w/o spoiling it? OK:
If you have a parry, INT is the most important stat and should be at 15, mininum. If you dont have a party, INT is still the most important stat. Healing items - follow the Ferengi saying: Enough, is never enough. If it seems incredibly powerful, keep it. If it seems totaly useless, keep it. If it has a name, talk to it. If it says something, talk to it. If someone says something is impossible, do it. |
Don't worry about getting killed because...you are already dead! LOL
|
1)The most important attributes by far are INT and WIS.
2)Although you can change classes, the game wants to be playes as a mage. 3)Change classes at least to get the first few levels of the other classes. It'll come in handy. 4)DO worry about dying. Sometimes you have to do it, but most of the time, it just wastes your time as you trudge back to where you got killed. 5)Don't forget to talk to your party-members when new plot points develop. |
I played as a mage at first. But when I played it for a 2nd time I found more success as a Fighter. Especially when I joined Godsman Faction.
