Anyone playing Might and Magix IX yet?

I held off buying it because it was supposed to be very buggy.
Does the patch released address all/most of the problems? - is it playable now?

I've been playing MM9 for about a week, there are definitely bugs. I haven't been able to find anything on this game, and was unaware of a debug file being available. I'll gladly give it a shot if I can locate it. I'm hoping a forum will develope for this game soon. The problems I'm having are basically not getting credit for quests when they've been completed. Also, sometimes a character will have 4 skill points in a skill, but the "instructor" will not promote them to expert, saying the character needs 4 skill points in that skill...

this is because you MUST talk to the quest giver first before doing the quest. and you can't train your character because you might be wearing an item that increase your skill. so take off every item that character is wearing and check.

btw, the patch fix most of some of the bugs. but you might want to wait for second patch and hope it fix everything.

I've been playing it for about a week (I downloaded and installed the latest patch before I even started playing) and I haven't had any problems with any "bugs" yet.

I've come to believe that some really technical "bugs" are really system related. I am not playing on the most high tech system possible, mind you, but I do think that the shape of your machine makes a difference.

Here's a link to a site that has A LOT of info...read the "Bugs and ONE HUGE WARNING"...that will help you out as far as knowing what NOT to do before you start playing. ;)

Here's a link to a forum that can answer a lot of questions you may have as you go along.

TELP'S M&M 9 Tavern

How is the game so far for the ones that have it?

Gamespot gave it a pretty crappy score, but I really enjoyed MM6 and MM7. I have not found MM8 for a decent price yet:( Personally, I do not care about the looks of a game. I care about it being fun, which the series has been so far:)

Well I am enjoying it.

TELP's site (in the link above) is pretty busy so I think other players are too.

If you liked M&M 7 you'll probably like this one. :D .

There's no flying in M&M 9 and Llyod's Beacons don't have a time/date set on them (so I am not sure if they are permanent or if they might just disappear some day lol) but it has a lot to offer in time consuming fun.

One thing I didn't like was that the promotion to Lich (however much worth it) was very hard and my Scholar/Lich Wannabe could not train to higher levels without finishing the quest. It was so hard that by the time I finished it, there seems to be nothing out there that can stop me. BUT...I understand after I fulfill the initial quests that get the game going, things are going to change and I'll be sent other places to do other things before the game is actually over.
I hope its hard. ;)

I have played it trough and the patch also including some other bugs as well but the game is playable if you dont bother with some nasty bugs and the second half of the game is pretty cool to hehe :D

And Moni the game is wery hard when you come to the "sky City" .....

Thanks, guys, for the information! I think I will go ahead and pick it up. It sounds like I will not be disappointed:)
