How random are these gates? I am supposed to close the gate at chorrol for the countess (in order for her to help save Bruma) and i can't get to the stone because there is no way up. It is the gate with the natural diasters and i believe(?!?) I have pulled all the levers in all of the towers. Are there any hidden? how do I get up there? it is driving me nuts, I've killed everything, need to level up and have no repair hammers left. Help!

This was an annoying gate. The Tower Portal is in the middle with the six disaster towers around it. The disaster towers are all connected to the Tower Portal, but five of them lead to the same floor which has no way up to the top. What you need to do is go to the disaster tower with the LOWEST walkway to the Tower Portal (in my game it was Hurricane). Take the Door To The Wastes Of Oblivion which is on one of the floors above ground and use the walkway to the Tower Portal. It should get you to a floor where you can then go into the Rending Halls and make your way up from there.
