I'm a vampire and I have been almost since the beginning... (Damn me for exploring!)

I really don't want to cheat or do mods or anything like that. Welll... I suppose this isn't far off, but can anyone tell me where I can get 5 empty grand soul gems please? I'm really stumped! I mean being a vampire has it's advantages and all... If I get overburdened I can wait for a few days and I'm right as rain. But I'm really getting sick of the whole, "Get away from me, you've got a really bad skin condition, you're breath's not great, and it looks contagious!" thing. Oh yeah and the whole sun thing's a bit of a drag, after a few beers I come home and start dying for no apparent reason... maybe it's because I'm drunk...? Takes 'til tomorrow to realise what's going on!

Any how, enough ranting I hope someone can help.

Same thing happened to me, and i decided to download a nifty plugin to get a cure. I couldn't stand not being able to walk in the sun, or to go on an expedition to get a cure, but suit yourself.

You could check the mages guilds for those gems, or raid a few Oblivion gates, you're bound to find a few of em inthere.

i just bought them over a period of time from the merchants in the imperial city. Every few days they restock and occasionally there are empty grand soul gems to be had.

Yeah, except the problem doesn't end there, you'll be send on several quests to find all sorts of ingredients and whatnot, before the cure can truly take place. For myself i decided that was just too much hassle, i'd done enough fedex missions as it was at that point, and i was like "to hell with that, let's use a mod for this".

Ya, the quests are a pain in the bum. If it becomes too much of a hassle (as it did for me, and i didn't want to cheat either) then you can open the console and enter the code:

player.additem 000977E4 1

That'll give you the Cure Vampirism potion.

just go out into the sun and let it burn out of your character and if that doesn't work you can always reload.
