Any side effect when you joined them? I notice my infamy went up when I did their initiation quest. What happen when your infamy is too high? How will other npcs or guards react when you talk to them?

It depends on your fame aswell, if your infamy is higher than your fame, then people will Dispise/fear you, but if its lower, then its a mixed bag depending on how similar the two are ;)

No people don't dipise/fear you. My assasin had 200+ infamy and only 25 or so fame.

The only side effect is that you can't use temples if you have more infamy than fame.

I also notice that the thief guild quest also increase my infamy. But since I want to do as much quest in the game as possible. I guess I might as well do the thief guild and DB quests.

Ahem! Contrary to what people said, there is a side effect of joining thief guild and DB and gaining infamy points. The guards will start calling you scum/slime/get out of their face etc etc. Before that they all adore me, calling me hero of kvatch/this and that etc etc.

Now my character is treated like a piece of dung! :(
