I don't know where, when, or why it happened, but apparently i'm a goddamn vampire, and i don't like it one bit. Can anyone tell me the shortest way to get rid of this thing ?

Sever 04-08-2006 12:48 AM

You too? I just did a job for Azura and came back as a Vampire. No warnings, no messages, i just went to sleep and woke up as a vampire. It's cramping my style! :D I'm looking for the quickest way to get rid of it as well.

Are you guys roleplaying good characters?

Cause' it sure as hell has it's advantages being a vampire ;)

Sever 04-08-2006 01:49 AM

Ya. I'm roleplaying a goody two shoes Blade doing the MQ. I love vampires and all, but i'm not ready to venture down that path just yet. Plenty of time for that.

Hmm roleplay? It's kinda hard to do my rogue assassin like character, since bethesda didn't think of a possible evil path in many quests. Well, I guess my char is just pragmatic and doing it for the money or fame.

Well if you roleplay, you should roleplay the vampire part. The character is a noble paladin that got infected by vampirism, and has to deal with it.

Or just download one of the numerous mod that make vampirism cure potions available for sales.

Where can i find such a mod ? Because i understand i'll have to run several errands to get all the ingredients for the potion, and i really don't wanna go through all that crap. I can't even walk in daylight anymore. I don't mind being a vampire IF i choose to be one, but i didn't ask for this, i was busy working towards the end of the mainquest, and i don't have the patience for this.

Keep cure disease potions handy That way, whenever you fight some vampires, drink it just in case...

Ah well, i downloaded a few mods, one of which gives the merchants vampiric potions, so that i don't have to sneak around and suck people dry, and most of all, returns my ability to go out in sunlight again.

It still sucks though, but i don't want to get involved in another "fetch this, fetch that" chapter, i've seen enough of those. So i guess i'll be a vampire to the end.

Sever, if you want to get rid of vampirism, download the "cure vampirism" mod i posted in your "where can i get mods" thread. I just did, and i'm cured now, it was just too much hassle not being able to travel in sunlight without damaging my health all the time.

When you installed the mod, a mysterious chest will appear in the Cheydenhall Dark Brotherhood hideout. Once you located the chest, you'll find out that you need a key to open it. Now this is where the mod's creator shows he's quite the sadistic little bastard, because i've just spent half an hour trying to find the damn thing, but in the end it's well worth it. There's two "cure vampirism" potions in the chest, although you only need one, and apparently noone has ever experienced becoming a vamp for the second time in one game, but you never know, so you best hang on to it.

Now there's still one nasty little side effect from having been a vamp...the churces won't restore my damaged stats, since i currently have an infamy rating of 100, and my fame is only 8. The message i get inside the churches when clicking on the altar is as good as "get lost you freak", so now i better find someone who can sell me a restore personality potion.
