Im torn between RedGuard and Nord...I like the appearnce of Nord better but i really like the resistance to disease from RedGuard. Are there alot of cold spells in the game so a small resistance would be needed or what?

Yep, i've seen quite a few cold spells in the game. matter of fact, i use most of em myself.

My question was more aimed at: Will baddies use it against me more than they will get me poisoned or diseased?

Yes expect to see cold spells used against you, ghosts, imps and mages use it against you. I have yet to find a disease other than vimpirism in this game, and the only poison I've seen is one that I've used on my enemies. ;)
