what are calipers? how do you use them? i was thinking they were the OB version of tongs, but they don't seem to work. thinking they were used to help repair armor or somesuch, i was very proud of myself for coming to that conclusion. only one problem... they must do something much more elusive as i can't get them to repair armor, fix my horse or even provide me with sustenance. They are clutter. AFAIK they don't do anything other then sit there and take up space in your inventory.

calipers dont do anything. it originaly was to be a joke by bethesda. they were going to put in this mod that if you collect all the calipers, that a special black smith guy will make you a sword called "ex-caliper" get it? pretty lame. they just didnt put that mod in the original game, but left all the calipers in.
